As a real estate agent, becoming more productive is a big deal. You want to make sure you are getting the most out of your time, especially as the market shifts. With the right real estate agent productivity hacks, you can use your time wisely.

Real Estate Productivity Hacks You Need

1. Email Organization

There is nothing worse than always feeling behind on your email. Of course, this is a good problem, as long as the emails are from real estate leads and not just spam.

The best way to gain more time in your day is by organizing your email. With just 10 minutes once a week, you can declutter your email box and keep things under control. This can save you a ton of time throughout your week.

2. Write Out Your Schedule

While there are a million calendar and scheduling apps out there, sometimes, writing out your schedule is worth it. you can do this with a planner or a simple notebook and it can help you keep track of everything you need to do, including appointments. Some agents might find this productivity hack works great in conjunction with a scheduling app.

You can also use blocking with your schedule, where you block off certain pockets of time to market, handle email, return phone calls, etc. This can help you stay on top of the most important tasks.

3. Put a Limit on Social Media Time

While social media is a great way to market as a real estate agent, it can also be a huge time suck. If you’re marketing, it’s one thing, but if you’re just scrolling around, set a timer and only allow so much social media time.

You can also automate the process of posting to social media with an app. This can allow you to create a block of time once a week or once a month to set up all your social media posts to go out automatically.

4. Automate Annoying Tasks

There are some things you can farm out to someone else and other things you can simply automate as a real estate agent. If you find something annoying, such as data entry, hire someone else to do it or get a system that will eliminate or reduce the data entry you have to do.

You can even hire someone to go through your emails and flag the important ones, along with deleting anything you don’t need. It can be very helpful to automate or delegate tasks to others to save you time.

5. Use Email Templates

While a template certainly isn’t personal, you might find that you are giving the same answer over and over again to emails. Creating a template saves you from rewriting the same email dozens of times a week. Instead, just add the personal items, such as the name of the person and a few other things and you’re ready to go.

This can work well if you get a lot of the same questions from clients. With a template, you can save time replying to emails.

6. Use the Unsubscribe Button

Clearing out your email means unsubscribing from what you don’t need. If you get all kinds of emails from lists you have joined, but you don’t read them, start unsubscribing. Even just deleting these emails takes up time and energy.

7. Ignore the News

Of course, as a real estate agent, there are some things in the news you should pay close attention to, specifically those topics related to real estate. However, news can become an energy suck and a time suck. Turn off notifications about anything that you don’t need to keep up on. This can save you a ton of time if you’re someone that looks at the news multiple times a day or week.

There are many real estate agent productivity hacks you can use to gain more time in every single day. Some people use the Pomodoro technique to get certain tasks done and others use time blocking. Choose the techniques that work best for you and don’t be afraid to try something new.

Not every productivity hack will work for you. However, when you find a few that do work for you, it can give you a few hours back every week for important tasks or just to catch your breath during a busy work day.
